Our new VP FM has been chosen and we have new official members!

26 January was very stressful day for few of our members. Agata Grzywińska, Marta Michalska, Łukasz Politowski and Michał Bytniewski were trying to became an official member.

With a big pleasure I want to proclaim that all of them are new official members of AIESEC Toruń UMK.

Few words from our president to new members:

Congratulation for all of you! I hope that you will suitably represent our committee and disseminate your knowledge not only within AIESEC society but also among other people. I also hope that you will become real AGENTS OF POSITIVE CHANGE on whole your life.

Michał Bytniewski and Łukasz Politowski were fighting for a Vice President of Finance Management position. The one who won is.....?

Ladies and gentleman I would like You to present our new VP FM. He was fighting more than 2 hours, he put almost all of his strength and ability to answer the questions, and he won!

Ladies and gentleman :

ŁUKASZ POLITOWSKI

I really want to say thanks to all of you,

That day was an amazing experience for me. I’m shure that I will remember it for the rest of my life. I have never felt so many emotions during one day

. I want to add that I will do everything and even more for you, so you won't regret your decision. I also want to say a cordially thank you to Michał Bytniewski. I know that both of us could be a great VP but now I hope that you will be a great finance assistant.

I also know that I have to work harder sooo…

… reports are waiting… :D

Everyone believes that you will be a good Finance Management. We trust you so don’t disappoint us. We have also hope that you will learn a lot of new things and that it will make you happy.

The first LCM in New Year

Last Thursday there was Local Committee Meeting in our committee. Kamila was the Master of Ceremony. We started the meeting with small interaction (something like blow game conceived by Modzel). Then Kinga, Malwina and Michał told us something more about National Conference in which we have attended recently. Each of them were taking part in different tracks (Kinga - LCP track, Malwina – future OCP track and Michał – future EB track). After this Kinga gave us some information about exchange situation in our committee and also interesting events that are going to take place in the near future (LCVP finance election in a few days, LCP election in february, Career Days in march etc.). Afterwards Mateusz conducted a really funny game for all the teams. It checked our knowledge about ourselves and showed how well we know each other . Now we know what music Karolina listens to and how Diversity Team takes care of our interns:)

Hope to see you all at the next meeting!

The Best Delegation on KK

On January took place another conference where strong delegation from Toruń won The Best Delegation award. Photos show that we deserved it:

Kamila comment:
For me it was a very unique conference.
The workshops were
valuable as usual but the
most important thing this time was… the companion of peopleJ People from other LCs and what’s most crucial – from my LC. I came to NatCo to spend time with them, to feel the spirit of our committee and I am really happy cause I felt it! I can say I'm integrated with people I’ve know a little and those I’ve known better. I realized that I’m a part of this big team and the best is still unknown and obtainable.

During one of the sessions I felt convinced to my prior decisions and now I’m sure what I am going to do. And I’m really glad to see people from dfferent places with similar interests and vision to mine.

This conference is the beginning of something completely new for me and I’ve never felt so much intent about making the right decision. Whatever is going to come, I have positive attitude because of the people who are around me:)

Tomek said:
This conference was time to lay the foundations for our future work in Executive Board. However, subjects of our sessions weren't what I exactly expected. Some of them hadn't any input to my knowledge. On the contrary, some have raised quite new subjects. There were two sessions with external companies. First of them delivered us knowledge about giving and receiving "Feedback" and second one about "Brand Managment".
Unfortunately the first one was a total review of what we've already known. Quite contrary was second sesion which was much more interesting.

On the second hand thanks to networking I was able to obtain information that helped me in choosing position I would like to fulfil in future. It means that thanks to people's experience I got information and clues I needed.

That conference was also time of great fun. We won the BEST DELEGATION award. Which means that we completed our objective.

Eunika opinion:
For me it was one of best conferences ever. MCP Elections - deciding for the future of AIESEC in Poland, great preparation and integration of our Committee which resulted The Best Delegation Award... Functional meetings and workshops with externals - all those things influenced on my mood and motivation to work. I'm looking forward next national conference and I would like to encourage you to participate in Spring Conference in March :)

Dorota statement:
It was my second national conference. It wasn't something new for me - but it was amazing. I met a lot of people from whole Poland, but what I valued the most that I got to know better members from our local committee. Fact, that we were THE BEST DELEGATION make this conference unusual. Now I see how great is our committee and how fantastic people we have.

Hey guys! I have this honor to share my view of what has happened at NatCo 2010. Emotions throughout whole conference were so various that they made me literally fell down from the chair :) VP X together with VP ER were chased by boars... There were lots of aliens during the second party and our Alumni had a great performance on the national level, starting great cooperation with Member Committee. From the facts: the new MCP Elect became Katarzyna Molenda with the final result of 10 votes for her and 5 against in the third round ending general assembly at 3:30 in the morning, because of that Global Village has been removed from the agenda, nevertheless it was a big step for AIESEC Polska to chose the new President, that is going to represent our country on upcoming IPM conference in Tunisia. EB has planned upcoming events and exchange goal for the next 6 months, what will be presented at MM meeting wednesday, January 13. And last but not the least :) Our delegation received the award for the best delegation !!!! We haven't gotten this award since NatCo 2007. I'm very proud of all the delegates and I' motivated to work for the next 5 months and realize our exchange plans. I strongly do believe that as a committee we can and we will achieve our goal(30+20) and we will become legendary, just spread your wings and achieve impossible! I love You Your VP X

Few words to Ania:

Ania! Thank you very much for everything that u do for this committee. You introduced a lot of good changes, which made work in this commitee more efficient. Thank you for your commitment and for the time spent for helping us develop. You were always there, where we needed you, you were always smiling, never gave up, even in difficult and hard situations. Everyone can tell that work you do is your passion, that’s why you do it so good! Remember to not worry about your defeats. They are essential for your development and the fact that you managed with them means that you really achieved the goal of success. We hope that due to your work in AIESEC you've learnt a lot: stubbornness, confidence, trusting people and that you can always count on our help. Even now, when you had finished your adventure in AIESEC you are always welcome to continue your AIESEC experience. We'll miss you!

Skating with trainees

Finally, we went to the club "Pod Arsenałem", before it we had had a party at Mateusz'flat. It was
amazing day ;)

Global Village

Two weeks ago, 7th of December there was a Global Village at WNEiZ. It was the second time when @ organized such an event. This time, however, Ersamus students took part in it too. There were over 10 guests from different countries such as: Germany, France, Belgium, Czech Republic and Portugal. AIESEC was represented by two interns: one from USA-Danielle and one from Columbia-John. Every guest was supposed to prepare national food, music and presentation about their origin country. The event was very successful, students took an active part in it and were interested in cultures of our guests.
